Bali is a dream destination for anyone looking for a balance of wellness, culture, and natural beauty. With its lush landscapes, rich heritage, and abundant yoga retreats and yoga and surf camps, it has become a sanctuary for wellness and spiritual seekers.
After visiting Bali for 2 weeks in 2022 and one month in 2023, both times traveling solo, I’ve put together the perfect Bali itinerary with the best things to do in Bali for wellbeing, cultural immersion, and spirituality, the best areas to stay, and pro travel tips.
This Bali 2-week itinerary is designed to help you experience the best of the Island of the Gods, from serene beach towns and vibrant cultural hubs to lush rice terraces and stunning coastal cliffs.
So without further ado, here’s your guide to making the most of a Bali wellness trip.

Bali 2 Week Itinerary for Wellness & Culture
Sanur & Nusa Penida – 3 Nights
Your Bali two-week itinerary starts in Sanur, a peaceful coastal town on Bali’s southeastern shore, known for its relaxed vibe, calm waters, and long beachfront promenade lined with cafes and markets.
Often considered the quieter alternative to Bali’s busier areas, Sanur is close to Denpasar International Airport. It offers a perfect blend of beach relaxation and wellness activities, making it the ideal starting point for your Bali adventure.
Moreover, it provides easy access to the nearby islands of Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan.
Day 0: Arrival & Check-in
Check-in at The 101 Bali Oasis Sanur
Located right in the center of Sanur, The 101 Bali Oasis Sanur combines comfort and style, offering an excellent starting base for your Bali journey.

Day 1: Beachfront Yoga & Relaxation
Morning Yoga at Power of Now Oasis
Start your day with a morning yoga class at Power of Now Oasis. This open-air beachfront studio is one of my favorite yoga studios in Bali. It has an incredibly calming setting and atmosphere, ideal for a grounding practice with ocean views and natural surroundings.
Stroll & Lunch Along Sanur Beach
After yoga, take a peaceful walk along the Sanur Beach Promenade, where you’ll find numerous beachfront cafes. Stop for a leisurely lunch at one of them and admire the tranquil beach scene.
Relaxing Beach Afternoon
Sanur Beach is well known for its calm waters and clean sands. Choose a spot and enjoy a relaxing beach afternoon while sipping some coconut water.
Dinner at Three Monkeys
Wrap up your first full day in Bali with dinner at Three Monkeys. This is one of the most popular restaurants in Sanur and for good reason. The food is delicious, with a blend of Balinese, Mediterranean, and Asian flavors, the cocktails are great, and the atmosphere is modern but cozy. Try their Sate and cocktails and thank me later!
Day 2: Day Trip to Nusa Penida
Explore Nusa Penida
Today, you’ll take a day trip to Nusa Penida, a beautiful island famous for its rugged landscapes and turquoise waters. Popular spots to visit include Kelingking Beach, Broken Beach, Angel’s Billabong, and Crystal Bay.
I recommend joining a guided tour of the island to make the most of your time there and avoid the hassle at the Sanur port. I did this one and had an amazing time!
Dinner at The Glass House
After returning to Sanur, enjoy dinner at The Glass House. With its delicious dishes and charming interior, it makes for a perfect end to your island adventure.
Ubud – 4 Nights
Nestled in Bali’s lush interior, Ubud is the island’s cultural capital. Known for its vibrant art scene, traditional dance performances, and artisan markets, it offers a deep dive into Balinese culture.
Ubud is also a hub for yoga and wellness, attracting travelers looking to balance adventure with relaxation, as well as many digital nomads.
Day 3: Yoga & Ubud Scenic Views
Check-in at Pertiwi Bisma Ubud
Your base in Ubud will be the lovely Pertiwi Bisma Hotel, with lush surroundings and close to Ubud’s main attractions. With beautiful gardens, two swimming pools, and spacious and comfy rooms, this place is a hidden gem. Click here for more info and booking.
Settle in, as Ubud will be your wellness haven for the next few days.
Lunch at Zest Ubud
Zest Ubud is a plant-based restaurant that serves nourishing food, making it a great choice for wellness travelers. Their menu is full of colorful and fresh dishes sourced from local farms.
But my favorite thing about this place is the cozy vibe that makes you feel at home the moment you walk in. I ended up coming here twice during my 4 days in Ubud. A must-visit!
Yoga at Intuitive Flow Yoga Studio
In the afternoon, head to Intuitive Flow Yoga Studio, which offers a beautiful view of Mount Batur and Ubud. Enjoy a rejuvenating yoga session with a backdrop of serene landscapes.
Sunset by the Pool
After a fulfilling day, relax by the Pertiwi Bisma infinity pool, taking in the beautiful Ubud sunset.
Day 4: Culture & Local Shopping
Explore Ubud Town Center
Begin the day with a visit to Ubud Palace, a historic royal residence with beautiful Balinese architecture. Then, explore the nearby Saraswati Temple, famed for its lotus pond and tranquil ambiance.
Lunch at Lotus Cafe
Located right by the temple, Lotus Cafe offers an ideal spot for lunch with a stunning view of the lotus pond.
Shop at the Ubud Art Market
After lunch, explore the vibrant Ubud Art Market, where you’ll find handmade crafts, textiles, and souvenirs, perfect for taking a piece of Bali home with you.
Day 5: Rituals & Rice Terraces
Purification Ritual at Tirta Empul Temple
Experience a traditional Balinese purification ceremony at Tirta Empul Holy Water Temple. Participating in this ancient ritual is a unique way to connect with local culture and deepen your wellness and spiritual journey.
It was one of the most beautiful and touching experiences I had in Bali. I do recommend going with a guide though – he will show you around the temple, explain how to do the ritual (and what not to do), and even take some photos and videos of you.
I hired a private driver/guide to take me on a day trip to Tirta Empul and Ubud’s rice terraces.
Swing Over Tegallalang Rice Terraces
Afterward, visit the famous Tegallalang Rice Terraces, known for their stunning views. If you’re up for a little adrenaline, ride on one of the swings to get a panoramic view of the lush terraces.
Walk Along the Rice Fields
Next, take a walk along the rice paddies to absorb the tranquil beauty of the area and watch the local rice workers.
Lunch & Swim at Tis Cafe Ubud
From the rice terraces, walk to Tis Cafe, an inviting space where you can have lunch and take a refreshing swim with a view of the surrounding paddies.
Stay for the afternoon, enjoy a cocktail by the pool, and take in the breathtaking Ubud views.
Day 6: Yoga, Scenic Hike & Fine Dining
Morning Yoga at The Yoga Barn
Join a morning class at The Yoga Barn, one of Ubud and Bali’s most popular yoga studios, and a mandatory Ubud experience.
With a wide variety of classes, The Yoga Barn is perfect for deepening your practice. After your yoga lesson, take some time to wander around their beautiful gardens, have a drink at the bar, and soak up the beautiful energy of this place.
Lunch at Dharma Coffee & Juice
For lunch, head to Dharma Coffee & Juice, a cozy spot for healthy, light meals and fresh juices.
Hike the Campuhan Ridge Walk
In the afternoon, take a hike along the Campuhan Ridge Walk, an easy scenic trail offering lovely views of Ubud’s lush landscapes and rice fields.
It takes around 2 hours to walk the whole trail and return but the gorgeous views are well worth it. Avoid the hottest hours of the day though, as there’s barely any shade along the way.
Dinner at Chora Ubud
End your last day in Ubud with a delicious and exquisite dinner at Chora, a Mediterranean restaurant where Mykonos meets Ubud.
I absolutely loved this place, from the décor and atmosphere to the food and cocktails. A perfect end to your Ubud stay!
Canggu – 4 Nights
Canggu is Bali’s bohemian beach town, famous for its surf breaks, eclectic dining scene, and laid-back atmosphere. Once the new kid on the block, this coastal area on Bali’s southwest coast has become a hotspot for digital nomads, surfers, partygoers, and wellness seekers alike.
Having spent 1 week here in 2022 and 3 weeks in 2023, I can confidently say it’s my favorite area to stay in Bali, combining some of the best food, yoga, and surfing on the island.
Day 7: Canggu Sunset
Check-in at Aston Canggu Beach Resort or The Chillhouse
Choose either the Aston Canggu Beach Resort, for an upscale stay close to the beach, or The Chillhouse, a boutique hotel with a surf-and-yoga vibe.
I have stayed at and recommend both. Aston Canggu is very close to the beach and all the action, their breakfast buffet is unmatched, and their rooftop pool is a great place to relax and watch the sunset after a day of activities. The Chillhouse, on the other hand, is what Bali is all about: lush gardens and Balinese and surf-inspired décor. Food was disappointing and the location is a little further away from the center, but wins in silence and tranquility. Click here for more info and booking.
Sunset at the Beach
After checking in at your hotel, find your way to the heart and soul of Canggu: the beach. Spend a relaxing evening at Canggu Beach, unwind, and take in the incredible sunset.
Day 8: Surfing, Spa & Culinary Treats
Surf Lesson at Batu Bolong Beach
Batu Bolong Beach is a popular spot for beginner surfers. Make sure to book a lesson to ride Bali’s famous waves while you’re here.
There are loads of surf schools in Canggu, but I personally recommend In Da Surf Bali, a locally run surf school and camp. I did a week of surfing lessons with them in 2022 and really liked their professionalism, safety, and friendliness. You get hotel pick-up and drop-off and video analysis after each session so you can improve your surfing. They also organize weekly barbecues and nightouts.
If you’re an intermediate surfer looking to get away from the crowds of Canggu, Sano Surf Bali at Kedungu Beach is another great choice. I surfed with Sano for one month in 2023 and highly recommend him. He offers transfer from Canggu, private or semi-private lessons, video analysis, and a lot of fun.
Lunch at The Shady Shack
After your surf session, grab lunch at The Shady Shack, a Canggu staple known for its plant-based, creative dishes.
This is one of my go-to restaurants in Canggu. I love their food, natural juices, and vibe. It’s a wonderful place to relax and unwind post-surf or even do some work on your laptop.
Afternoon Spa Time at Spring Spa
In the afternoon, treat yourself to a pampering session at the amazing Spring Spa. Start with a relaxing Balinese massage or a refreshing facial and end with their superb pedi for a real treat to your feet.
Make sure to book in advance though as they’re always very popular.
Dinner at Penny Lane
End the day in style with dinner at Penny Lane, a chic eatery with an eclectic ambiance and delightful menu.
Day 9: Yoga, Beach Club & Nightlife
Breakfast at The Avocado Factory
Start your day with a wholesome and yummy breakfast at The Avocado Factory, featuring an avocado-centric menu and fresh options.
Yoga at The Practice
After breakfast, enjoy a yoga session at The Practice, a beautiful studio recognized for its traditional teachings and inspiring classes.
As a certified yoga teacher and more than a decade-old yogi, this is my favorite yoga studio in all of Bali. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced yogi, this place will touch your soul!
Chill at La Brisa Beach Club
Then head to La Brisa Beach Club for lunch and a chill afternoon. Visiting one of its world-famous beach clubs is a must-do on any list of what to do in Bali.
Located on Echo Beach, La Brisa is the ideal spot to relax by the ocean or one of its pools, swim, sip a cocktail, and enjoy a laid-back boho tropical vibe.
They welcome walk-ins but I recommend going early as they’re always very busy.
Party at Old Man’s
Finish your day at Old Man’s, one of the most, if not the most, iconic beachside bars in Canggu. Famous for its casual and friendly atmosphere, Old Man’s is the perfect place to grab some food and drinks, enjoy live music, and experience Canggu’s vibrant nightlife.
Day 10: Brunch, Leisure & Temple Sunset
Brunch at Milk & Madu
Another personal favorite, Milk & Madu is a beloved spot for brunch in Canggu, offering delicious coffee, fresh smoothies, and an array of nourishing dishes. Try The Madu breakfast special or the Madu Pancakes for your post-night-out recovery.
Poolside Relaxation or Shopping
Spend the afternoon by the pool at your hotel or explore Canggu’s unique boutiques and markets for local handicrafts and clothing.
Sunset at Tanah Lot Temple
In the evening, visit Tanah Lot Temple, one of Bali’s most famous temples set against a dramatic coastal backdrop. Watching the sunset here is a magical experience!
Dinner at Luma Bali
For your last night in Canggu, enjoy a fine dining experience at Luma Bali. With an elegant ambiance and fusion of Mediterranean and Asian flavors, this place is an easy choice.
Uluwatu – 3 Nights
Welcome to Uluwatu, the last stop of your 2-week Bali itinerary. Located on Bali’s southern Bukit Peninsula, Uluwatu is known for its dramatic cliffs, secluded beaches, and incredible surf spots.
It offers a more rugged, adventurous side of Bali and an escape from the hustle and bustle of Canggu, which explains why more and more wellness travelers and digital nomads are flocking here these days.
Day 11: Arrival & Sunset at Uluwatu Temple
Check-in at The Room Padang-Padang

Padang Padang is the most central area in Uluwatu, making it perfect for first-time visitors looking to explore.
Lunch at Ours
For lunch, head to Ours, a stylish eatery with a menu that combines fresh ingredients with Balinese flavors.
Explore Uluwatu
After lunch, stroll along Padang Padang’s main road, explore its little boutiques and cafes, and soak up the area’s vibes.
Sunset at Uluwatu Temple
End your day at the Uluwatu Temple, perched atop a cliff, to enjoy a breathtaking sunset and watch the traditional Kecak fire dance.
Dinner at The Loft
For dinner, try The Loft, offering a relaxed atmosphere and diverse menu options with vegetarian and vegan-friendly dishes.
Day 12: Beach Hopping & Sunset Dining
Beach Hopping in Uluwatu
Take the day to explore Uluwatu’s beaches, including Bingin Beach, Padang Padang Beach, and Suluban Beach, each known for its unique beauty and vibrant surfing culture.
Start your day at the stunning Padang Padang Beach. Featured in the movie Eat, Pray, Love, this is the most famous beach in Uluwatu (and the most beautiful in my opinion), so visit early in the morning to beat the crowds and enjoy the beach (almost) all to yourself.
Then head to Bingin Beach. With its breathtaking limestone cliffs, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and world-class surfing, Bingin Beach is a favorite spot for surfers and beach lovers. Have lunch in one of the restaurants overlooking the beach, watch the surf, and take in the views.
Finally, visit Suluban Beach. Tucked beneath towering cliffs, Suluban Beach is a secluded paradise accessed through narrow rock passages, offering striking turquoise waters, hidden caves, and some of the island’s best surf spots.
Sunset & Dinner at Single Fin
Finish the day at Single Fin for sunset and dinner. Sitting on the cliffs of Uluwatu, overlooking Suluban Beach, Single Fin is a Bali institution.
This iconic bar and restaurant offers panoramic ocean views, live music, and a laid-back vibe, making it a favorite spot for surfers and travelers to unwind and watch the sunset over the waves.
Day 13: Yoga, Nusa Dua & Farewell Dinner
Morning Yoga at The Space
Begin your last full day in Bali with a morning yoga session at The Space.
Full disclosure: I loved this place, but it was far from the best yoga class I took in Bali. I did only one lesson here though, so I might need to give it another try in the future.
Besides yoga, they also offer a co-working space, spa treatments, and a cool open-air cafe.
Brunch at Drifter Surf Shop & Cafe
After yoga, head to the nearby Drifter Surf Shop & Cafe for a nutritious brunch.
Combining a laid-back surfing vibe with a cozy cafe atmosphere, Drifter is a favorite Uluwatu hangout for surf enthusiasts and travelers alike.
It offers a curated selection of surf gear, bohemian clothing, and art, along with delicious organic food and coffee.
Relax at Nusa Dua Beach
Spend the rest of the day relaxing at Nusa Dua Beach. Although not in Uluwatu anymore, Nusa Dua is close enough for a day trip and, in my opinion, one of the best beaches in Bali.
Dinner at La Baracca
For your farewell dinner, head to La Baracca, a cozy Italian restaurant with a warm ambiance and delicious food. You can also find them in Ubud, Canggu, and Seminyak.
Day 14: Departure
Say goodbye to Bali, taking home with you incredible memories, cultural insights, and a renewed sense of well-being.

Best Time to Visit Bali
The best time to visit Bali is during the dry season, from April to October, when the weather is warm and the rainfall is minimal. This period is ideal for beach activities, outdoor excursions, and enjoying Bali’s natural beauty without interruptions.
Getting Around Bali
Here are your options for getting around Bali easily and safely:
- If you’re a confident driver, renting a scooter is a popular and affordable way to explore Bali, especially for short distances.
- If you (like me) prefer not to drive a scooter, apps like Grab and Gojek are your best option for easy access to motorbike or car rides. I usually go everywhere with Grab bikes and only call a car when changing locations or getting to and from the airport.
- Guided tours and day trips are a fantastic way to meet other travelers and are usually a lot of fun.
- Hiring a private driver for the day is convenient for longer trips where you want to make your own itinerary.
